Resetare sistem la instalare SQL Server 2005 SP3

Pe anumite sisteme este posibil ca in timpul instalarii SQL Server 2005 Express SP3 calculatorul sa se reseteze la pasul de pornire a serviciilor. Dupa, calculatorul continuua sa se reseteze dupa faza de login. Problema apare pe calculatoarele cu Windows XP Service Pack 2 si doar pentru versiunea de SQL Server 2005 cu Service Pack 3 inclus.

Problema apare destul de rar si este dificil de reprodus. Totusi este raportata pe siteul Microsoft si de catre noi: http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=421348

Solutia: intainte de a instala Ra Workshop 3.1 asigurati-va ca aveti instalat Windows XP Service Pack 3. Pentru a verifica versiunea de Windows dati click dreapta pe My Computer (aflat pe Desktop) si din meniul contextual selectati Properties. La system ar trebui sa scrie Microsoft Windows XP Professional/Home Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

Download: pentru a actuliza versiunea de Windows utilizati facilitatea Windows Update. Daca nu aveti acces la internet pe calculatorul implicat puteti descarca Windows XP Service Pack 3 de pe siteul Microsoft.

Pentru a scoate calculatorul din resetarea continua procedati in felul urmator:

Apasati F8 imediat dupa butare
Cand apare meniul de Windows selectati Safe Mode
Dupa ce calculatorul porneste in Safe Mode ai mai multe variante de remediere

(Varianta Recomandata). Dezinstaleaza SQL Server Express din Add/Remove Programs. La dezinstalare bifeaza si inlaturarea instantei SQLExpress. Dupa inlaturare SQL-ului porneste calculatorul in mod normal.
Utilizeaza System Restore pentru a reveni la starea de dinainte de problema. Acceaza Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore si selecteaza o data anterioara celei curente pentru a reveni la starea sistemului din data respectiva. Dupa system restore sterge folderul C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server si porneste calculatorul in mod normal.
Dezactiveaza serviciile de SQL si reporneste calculatorul in mod normal. Dupa logare dezinstaleaza SQL Express 2005. La dezinstalare bifeaza si inlaturarea instantei SQLExpress.

Daca intampini dificultati contacteaza departamentul de suport care te va ajuta sa depasesti aceasta problema.

Eroare la instalare program la pasul Server de baze de date

La instalarea programului, in momentul in care se ajunge la pasul de instalare server baze de date, apare urmatoarea eroare:

Eroare instalare SQL Server 2005 la MSXML

La instalarea SQL Server Express 2005 setupul esueaza la instalarea componentei MSXML.
Mesajul de eroare este cel de mai jos:

SQL Server 2005 si Windows Vista

SQL Server 2005 are o problema de compatibilitate cu Windows Vista. Problema a fost partial rezolvata in SQL Server 2005 SP1 si complet rezolvata in SQL Server 2005 SP2. Iata un extras de pe siteul Microsoft:

SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP1 can be installed on Windows Vista but has known issues with User Access Control. Service Pack 2 is the recommended patch level for Windows Vista RTM support. SQL Server 2005 Express Edition (SQL Server Express) SP2 can be used to install a new instance of SQL Server Express SP2.

Problema apare la utilizatorii care au achizitionat Ra Workshop in 2006 si utilizeaza CD-ul primit pentru a instala pe Windows Vista. Pyramid Software a inlocuit in structura de distributie SQL Server 2005 Express cu versiunea care includea SP1 (in Noiembrie 2006) si cu versiunea care include SP2 (in Februarie 2007) si in felul acesta problema s-a rezolvat.

Utilizatoriilor care au dificultati in instalarea aplicatiei pe Windows Vista le recomandam instalarea ultimei versiuni: SQL Server 2005 SP3, care poate fi descarcata de aici: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3. Kitul executabil SQLEXPR.EXE trebuie copiat in kitul de instalare in directorul ISSetupPrerequisites/Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express peste fisierul existent.

Instalare SQL Expres Eroare

Daca ati intalnit urmatorul mesaj de eroare:

SQL Server Setup failed to execute a command for server configuration. The error was [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][Sql Server] Cannot add functional unit "sp_sqlagent_get_startup_info" to component "Agent XPs". This unit has already been registered with the component...Refer to the server error logs and Setup logs for detailed error information.

Rezolvarea acestei erori consta in setarea datei calculatorului. Data calculatorului trebuie schimbata, ca sa corespunda datei corecte. Trebuie avut in vedere atat data cat si ora si time zone-ul.
